Moving with awareness
During class, attention is given to posture, breathing and control of your movement. You work within your own abilities and have the space to build up a pose carefully and gradually discover what works for you.

Flowing movement or consciously slowing down. At EVA’Z, yoga comes with clear guidance, attention to the way you move and room to take part at your own level.
Yoga at EVA’Z
Yoga at EVA’Z is about mindful movement, clear guidance and having the space to take part at your own level. Attention is given both to how you perform the poses and to rest and relaxation. Yoga and Pilates are different, but they also share important principles such as attention, control and moving with awareness.
During class, attention is given to posture, breathing and control of your movement. You work within your own abilities and have the space to build up a pose carefully and gradually discover what works for you.
Throughout the class, you are clearly guided through what you are doing, what to pay attention to and how posture, breathing and movement work together. Where needed, you are also shown how to adapt a pose so you can take part in a way that suits you.
The balance between activity and relaxation differs between classes. Flow Yoga focuses more on active, flowing movement, while Restorative Yoga gives you more space to slow down and recover. What both classes share is mindful movement and a guided relaxation at the end of every class.
The classes
Whether you want to move actively and fluidly or consciously slow down, EVA’Z offers two forms of yoga, each with its own character.
An active yoga class in which movement and breathing naturally come together. You work on strength, flexibility, balance and stamina while moving smoothly from one pose to the next, creating a pleasant rhythm throughout the class.
Flow Yoga is suitable for all levels. Poses and exercises can be adapted where needed, allowing you to take part at your own level while still finding enough challenge.
A calm yoga class in which poses are held for longer, giving your body time to release tension. Within EVA’Z’s yoga programme, Restorative Yoga places the strongest emphasis on rest, relaxation and recovery.
This makes the class particularly suitable when you feel the need for a slower pace, for example during a busy or stressful period, when relaxing feels more difficult or when you deliberately want to create more room for recovery.
Restorative Yoga is accessible and suitable for all levels. It can also be a comfortable option when you temporarily prefer to move more gently.
In the studio
Every yoga class lasts 60 minutes. Arrive on time so you can start the class feeling relaxed. For your first visit, we recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early so you have time to meet the teacher and get familiar with the studio.
Good-quality mats and all the equipment you need are available in the studio. Depending on the class, equipment such as blocks, straps, bolsters and other supports may be used to help you practise poses comfortably and effectively.
Flow Yoga is more active and moves at a more fluid pace, while Restorative Yoga gives you more time to slow down and remain in poses for longer. In both classes, attention is given to how you move and what works for you at that moment.
Poses can be adapted where needed so you can take part in a way that suits your experience and abilities. You don’t need to be flexible or already know all the poses.
Every class finishes with a short guided relaxation. After the movement, this gives your body time to settle and allows you to finish the class feeling calm.
New to yoga?
Both Flow Yoga and Restorative Yoga are suitable for all levels. You can join even if you have no previous yoga experience and take part at your own level.
International participants simply join the same classes. The classes are mainly taught in Dutch, but Eva naturally combines Dutch and English where needed so you can follow along comfortably.

Book a trial classIf you want to move actively and fluidly while working on strength and flexibility, Flow Yoga will probably suit you best. If you are looking for more rest, relaxation and recovery, Restorative Yoga is a natural choice. This can be especially comfortable during a busy or stressful period or when relaxing feels more difficult. Not sure? Feel free to contact Eva beforehand.
Choose comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and still feels comfortable while stretching. If possible, avoid clothing with buttons, zips, loose drawstrings or other details that may get in the way during the exercises. Yoga is practised barefoot or in socks. Grip socks can be comfortable if you prefer a little extra traction.
You don’t really need to bring anything. Good-quality mats and all the equipment you need are available in the studio. You are of course welcome to bring your own mat or towel. A warm jumper or cardigan can be comfortable during the relaxation at the end of class. During the colder months, socks can also be nice to have.
For your first visit, we recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early. This gives you time to meet the teacher, get familiar with the studio and discuss any questions or things we should take into account.
If you have an injury, are recovering or are unsure whether a particular class is suitable for you, contact Eva beforehand. Every situation is different, so she can help you consider which class or approach may be appropriate at that moment. Where needed, extra attention can be given during class and poses or exercises can be adapted.
