First time at EVA’Z?

Here’s what
to expect

Coming to EVA’Z for the first time? Here you’ll find everything you need to know about booking a trial class, what to bring and how to arrive feeling prepared for your first class.

Trial class €13.50·Introductory month €59

Joining as an international?

You don’t need to speak Dutch to take part

The classes are mainly taught in Dutch, but when international participants join, Eva naturally combines Dutch and English where needed.

There are no separate English classes. You simply join the regular group, and the explanations and guidance are adapted so you can comfortably follow the class.

And along the way, you may even pick up a little Dutch.

You don’t need to let us know in advance that you don’t speak Dutch, but if you have any questions before your first visit, you’re always welcome to contact Eva in English.

How a trial class works

From booking to your first class

Classes are booked and paid for through Eversports. You can use Eversports to reserve your classes, pay online and manage your bookings later on.

01

Create an account

Create an Eversports account using your name and email address. You can then view the available classes, arrange your trial class and later make or manage other bookings.

02

Book your trial class

A trial class costs €13.50 and is paid online through Eversports. Payment is possible by iDEAL/Wero or credit card. If available to you, iDEAL/Wero is our preferred payment method.

03

Choose your class

Take a look at which type of class suits you best. The guide below will help you choose between Pilates, Yogalates, Flow Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Power Pilates.

04

Reserve your place

Once you have chosen a class, reserve your place directly through Eversports. You will automatically receive confirmation of your booking.

Which class should you choose?

Find out what suits you

Use this guide as a starting point. For now, you only need to decide which direction appeals to you most. You can find more information about each class on the Pilates and Yoga pages.

01

Pilates

Move well, at your own level

The regular Pilates class is taught on the mat and helps you work on strength, stability, mobility and posture.

For a first trial class, this is usually not the best choice unless you already have plenty of Pilates experience.

Before your first class

Arrive feeling prepared

There isn’t much you need to organise. Mats and other equipment are ready for you at the studio.

01

Arrive ready for class

If possible, arrive already dressed for class and wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.

02

What should you bring?

You don’t really need to bring anything. Good-quality mats and all necessary equipment are available at the studio. If you prefer to use your own mat or towel, you are of course welcome to bring them. A warm layer and, during the colder months, socks can also be comfortable during the relaxation at the end of class.

03

Arrive a little earlier the first time

For your first visit, we recommend arriving at least 10 minutes before the class starts. This gives you time to meet the teacher, get familiar with the studio and discuss any questions or things we should take into account.

Good to know

What to expect when you arrive

A few practical things that are useful to know beforehand.

01

Classes start on time

Every class starts on time. The teacher knows who has booked and, where possible, will wait briefly if someone has not yet arrived. Once the class has started, the entrance door is closed and unfortunately it is no longer possible to join.

02

Cancelling a class

Can’t make it after all? You can cancel your booking through Eversports up to 24 hours before the class starts. After that, it is no longer possible to cancel without losing the class credit.

At the studio

There’s time to settle in, before and after class

The studio gives you space to arrive without rushing and to take a little time after class as well. Water and tea are available, and if you like, you can sit for a while in the tea room before heading off. That way, your visit doesn’t have to end the moment the class does.

Personal advice

Not sure which class is right for you?

You might be completely new to Pilates or yoga, returning after some time away, or need to take an injury or recovery period into account. Eva will be happy to help you consider which class and level may suit you.

If you would prefer a little more personal attention before joining a group class, you can also discuss whether a one-to-one session might be useful.

You are welcome to contact Eva in English.
